Kai Welcome, a certified diesel technician, is the principal diesel technician at Modern Diesel Solutions, LLC. He is a graduate of St. Croix Central High School and he received his diesel training in Texas. Kai has always had a passion for fixing things, which led him to the field of applied science in diesel technology.

Kai took a leap of faith and returned home to St. Croix to start his own diesel repair company, Modern Diesel Solutions, LLC.  He brings over ten (10) years of experience as a diesel technician working on heavy equipment, trucks, and off-road equipment in Texas, Louisiana, Washington State, California and Oregon.  With a valid TWIC Card, Kai has worked on equipment and trucks in facilities, such as nuclear power plants, and oil refineries, that require valid TWIC credentials.

Modern Diesel Solutions, LLC (“MDS”) is a licensed United States Virgin Islands company with state of the art diesel diagnostic software and tools.  While MDS is based on St. Croix, its professional diesel technicians are ready, willing and able to travel to St. Thomas, St. John, Water Island and, certain islands in the Eastern Caribbean to perform computerized diagnostic diesel services on all types of diesel equipment, vehicle, farm machinery and construction equipment.
